For
Code Savvy, A STEM education nonprofit focused on creating and scaling computer science education opportunities in Minnesota to help democratize access to computer science opportunities.
The Backstory
Code Savvy was growing their fundraising in 2022 by expanding their grant application efforts. I came across their work around this time, and suggested it might be an ideal moment to develop an impact report — prospective funders would be able to see a visual overview of their work, and they would be able to gather key data once, and have a ready-to-go PDF for repeated use.
Annual impact reports offer nonprofits a multipurpose tool for visually showcasing the work they are doing, which they can reach for whenever they’re looking to:
add color to their story in grant proposals,
show and thank donors for the value of their contributions, or
share an organizational overview with someone interested in learning more.
The Executive Director agreed, and we kicked off their first ever impact report project. We have since collaborated on their annual report in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
“Working with Kerry is an absolute delight. Not only is she an incredibly talented designer, she is thoughtful, insightful, and very easy to collaborate with.”
— Valerie Lockhart, Executive Director of Code Savvy from 2021 to 2024
